Capt. Matt Dobson is a native of Wellington, New Zealand and grew up “chasing anything with fins”. After fishing offshore in the Bay of Islands area for 20 years he established Black Pearl Charters, and according to Matt, “We are bringing Wellington fishing to the next level!”.
Regular catches include the unusual-looking gurnard, tasty blue cod, and the popular snapper. However the most sought after fish in the area is the kingfish, a member of the jack family that is nearly identical to the California Yellowtail (and is featured on this shirt!). The kingfish is a hard-fighting and excellent
eating fish that averages 20-30 pounds but can reach over 100 pounds!

We use pre-shrunk 6.0 ounce 100% US cotton (except for heather gray which is a 90/10 blend) with a traditional fit. These shirts are built to last.
SOFT RING-SPUN COTTON
We use a premium ring-spun US cotton that is softer, more durable and longer lasting than regular cotton shirts.
LONG-LASTING PRINTED DESIGN
Our shirts are printed in the USA with large full color artwork on the back, and smaller charter logo on the front left chest. We use simulated process screen printing for a softer feel… without the sticky “iron-on” printing you’ll find on a lower quality t-shirt.
